Pros and Cons in Democrats Regarding the Mosque Near By Ground Zero

The congressional Democrats may find it difficult to respond the statement of President Barrack Obama degrading his support for the right of Muslims to build a mosque in ground zero in New York which is very controversial therefore they tend to keep silent or walk out. The Democrats take a full control on Senate seat since they won 27 out of 29 Congressional Districts. But with this issue Democrats might be defeated this year since Republicans will use the national economic growth issues to move the voters to them and this mosque issue may help Republican a bit.

Home Democrats from Long Islands have been opposing the plan to build a $100 million Islamic center which will be located only two blocks away from the location where 2,700 people died on the September 11 attack. Many New Yorkers are still traumatized by the great lost caused by the Islamic extremists and that’s the reason the New Yorkers reject the mosque construction plan.

Mike McMohan the Democrat Rep. suggests that the project should be moved “I believe Muslims can get compromise if the project is moved into a new location so they can worship without feeling being pushed off from the country and on the other side the survivors or families of 9/11 victims can get peaceful life as they deserve it” Mike McMohan said.
